Qatar Tourism (QT) has successfully concluded the first batch of its Desert Safari Guide Training Programme, with a closing ceremony held on November 13, 2025. This marks a significant step in elevating Qatar’s desert safari offerings for visitors.

The program, which launched in May, aimed to equip desert safari guides with essential skills to provide safe, high-quality, and authentic experiences. A total of 180 guides completed the training, which covered desert safety, off-road driving, first-aid with CPR, customer service, environmental responsibility, and cultural awareness.
Qatar Tourism’s goal is to certify more than 250 guides by the start of the winter tourism season, with another 50 guides expected to complete the training in the next session. This initiative ensures that Qatar continues to offer exceptional desert experiences to tourists, with highly trained professionals leading the way.
