Doha: As the countdown to the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ enters its final two months, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has released a second batch of tickets to the public. This announcement comes after a tremendous response from football enthusiasts eager to witness Asia’s premier men’s national team tournament. The tournament is scheduled to take place from January 12 to February 10, 2024.
Since ticket sales commenced last month, the initial batch of tickets sold out rapidly, reflecting the high level of excitement among football fans. Tickets are affordably priced, starting at just QAR 25 (approximately USD 6.8), ensuring accessibility for millions of passionate Asian football supporters. Tickets can be conveniently purchased online at the-AFC.com.
Football enthusiasts can secure seats for any of the 51 matches scheduled to be held in Qatar, including the opening and final matches at Lusail Stadium, an impressive 88,000-seat venue that recently hosted the final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
With more than half of the world’s population residing within a five-hour flight radius of Qatar, traveling fans will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets via the same website.
The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ will unfold across nine stadiums, where the top 24 teams from the Continent will compete in six groups. Seven of these venues previously hosted matches during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, including Lusail, Al Bayt, Khalifa International, Al Janoub, Ahmad bin Ali, Al Thumama, and Education City stadiums. Jassim bin Hamad and Abdulla bin Khalifa stadiums complete the list of state-of-the-art facilities that will host the tournament.
Fans can purchase up to 10 tickets per transaction, subject to availability, and have the option to follow their favorite team from the Group Stage into the Knockout Stage. All match venues will provide accessible seating to ensure a barrier-free experience for disabled fans, including wheelchair-accessible seating and seats for individuals with limited mobility.
Qatar’s compact geography and excellent connectivity ensure that no two stadiums are more than 75km apart. This proximity allows fans to attend multiple matches in a single day, and visiting fans can conveniently stay in one location throughout the tournament while using modern road infrastructure and a well-connected rail network to travel between stadiums.
Digital tickets can be downloaded to fans’ digital wallets, eliminating the need for internet connectivity when presenting tickets at the stadium. For those wishing to resell their tickets, an official ticket resale platform will be made available for their convenience.
